Executive Chef
Ensures kitchens provide nutritious, safe, eye-appealing, properly flavored food. Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment for all employees. Maintains highest professional food quality and sanitation standards. Other duties include menu planning, budget preparation, and maintenance of payroll, food cost and other records. Specific duties involve food preparation and establishing quality standards, supervising and training employees in cooking methods, presentation techniques, portion control and retention of nutrients. Placement Criteria: Minimum of a high school diploma, ? years minimum of supervisory experience and ?+ years working in a large volume, fast paced kitchen, or suitable combination of education and relevant experience preferred. Possess a good command of both verbal and written communication with staff and superiors. Extensive knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the culinary profession, specifically demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of budgeting, cost control and kitchen safety standards. Demonstrated organization, facilitation, communication and presentation skills. Able to organize time effectively, forward plan and prioritize tasks to ensure work load is balanced and urgent situations are dealt with immediately. Excellent Customer Service Skills and ability to understand and respond to individual guest’s needs and requirements;. Must enjoy working in a people oriented and socially interactive environment. Ability to take ownership of everything they do throughout their day with a level of teamwork required to ensure that The Well Bar, Grill & Rooftop consistently exceeds guest expectations with food, service and atmosphere. Knowledge of POS systems, proficient computer skills, and ability to adapt to new company specific software and understand fundamental practices and database management.
